So the majority of the Lion's fans got their cornbread in Mike Williams. Pathetic smiling faces slobbering over the fact that we (ahem, I mean the Detroit Lions) are going to be unstoppable on offense. Gawd, c'mon people. This is why Detroit has never won a Superbowl.

As I've been spouting off for years, a great corner will take out a great wide receiver anyday. Not only that, but the great corner can then - in turn - possibly score a touchdown. At the very least a broken play or an interception can be the "GAME BREAKER". The defense is really the "PLAY MAKERS".

I don't understand why a tough city turns into a bunch of mewling kittens over offense!? And for all you offense people out there, can you say.... Indianapolis Colts?? Do you all really think because we drafted another freaking wide receiver that we'd be better than the Colts? I didn't think so, even if there are a few out there dreaming of that comparison, I say, "So WHAT!" The Colts have an unstoppable offense right? Hah, let's ask Tedy Bruschi and Rodney Harrison. For those of you that don't know them, they are but a couple of the Defensive players for the New England Patriots, you know, the Patriots, Superbowl Champs - No I didn't think so

I was ready to throw in the towel for another year thinking same old/same old, but then I heard some magic words...Kenoy Kennedy ... ha HA, FINALLY! Maybe someone finally read my blog! I am soooo geeked about Kennedy, I might have to buy two Lions jerseys now. We finally got our Bad Ass. Well, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the Ford's don't try to wet their fingers, slick his hair back and tell him to be a good boy.

Between Kennedy, Rogers and Hall maybe we can finally instill some actual FEAR in the offense of the other teams. Yes, he's been fined for helmet to helmet tackles, but as he said,

"They said I led with my head. But how do you tackle? I've never seen a guy go up and butt a guy with his chest. I don't know what to do. Maybe I should drop-kick them, or do something like that. I don't know."

...and the true test, Kennedy answered that the fines wouldn't stop him from being aggressive. I like this guy and his attitude! I am excited again about this season, even the black jerseys... Hey, it worked for Tampa Bay, now if we could just get some damn corners!! Over 6 feet please Millen, height should be a pre-requisite.
